Located in the western portion of the South Bronx, towards the southern end of Grand Concourse, this sliver of a neighborhood is home to the world-famous Yankee Stadium, where the Yankees and New York City FC play.

As one of the most desirable residential enclaves in NYC, there are two parks on the southern tip of Concourse, and residents send their children to reputable schools in the northern section of town.

The neighborhood is also packed with high-end amenities, including a farmers’ market, yoga studio, and several bars and restaurants. Most of the shops and markets in the neighborhood can be found along East 167th Street.

Other highlights include the Tree Museum, a public art project, the Bronx Museum of the Arts, which harbors a collection of over 800 paintings, sculptures, and photographs by American artists, and The Grand Concourse, a historical boulevard and one of the Bronx’s main thoroughfares, is lined with stunning pre-war apartment buildings, many of which have retained their original Art Deco elements.

The Grand Concourse was designed as an upscale boulevard to rival the likes of Park Avenue in Manhattan and Champs-Elysees in Paris. Spanning about six miles in length, the entire stretch has been formally recognized as a Historic District, with magnificent Art Deco and Beaux Arts-style buildings from the early 20th century.

The neighborhood provides access to four trains, with residents commuting regularly to downtown and Midtown. The D and number 4 trains stop near Yankee Stadium, which has its own stop along the Metro North Railroad. The neighborhood is situated right across the Harlem River from Manhattan, making it an excellent choice for buyers who want to live within proximity of the financial district.

Despite the constant arrival of new residents, Concourse remains a tight-knit community. The families who have lived here for generations are always happy to see new faces around town – so pack your bags and make the move today.
